All details are Sited from:
Berk, L.E. (2012). Infants and children: prenatal through middle childhood. 7th ed. Boston: Allyn & Bacon.
Brief Introduction
Hi, my name is Jun Lu. I am a graduate of Bachelor Degree of Early Childhood from University of Southern Queensland, USQ. I am a kindergarten teacher with 6 years teaching experiences. My passion of teaching children have grown gradually over the number of years in my teaching experiences. I felt that learning about child development is an interesting and challenging topic. As for myself, although I did the subject course Development and Learning: Birth - 8 with USQ, I feel that there are many areas i need to further study and to be discovered about children's development from birth to 8 years old.
This blog is for all readers, because, I am sure one day everyone will enter to parenthood. This blog is beneficial for parents, preschool teachers, day carers, grandparents, and everybody who have or will attached with young children. Besides, as you read the blog, you may have a flashback of your own childhood memories too. Therefore, I hope you would enjoy reading it, and also sharing your ideas and comments in this blog.
Regarding this weebly blog, it is my notes that I have read from the text book, Berk, L.E.(2012). 7th ed. Infants and children: prenatal through middle childhood. Boston: Allyn & Bacon. For my own experiences, through reading this textbook, I could be able to discover the different types of culture and diversity of the children from all around the world. This textbook did explain the different types of development of the child from infancy and early childhood, also the culture living of the children from the different parts of the world. Therefore, as readers we could compare our own country's culture with other country's culture.
I did the subject course: Development and Learning: Birth - 8 in my final semester, semester 2, 2012. I enjoyed myself listening and giving my opinions regarding the subjects in the class. Also, I did self study to attempt 10 quizzes for the subject. I would like to thank to my SEGi Lecturer, Ms Shobana, whom have shared with me her knowledge generously to me and the class. Once again, Thank you very much, Ms Shobana.
I hope you will enjoy reading my revision blog regarding child development. I would take a longer time to complete this blog, but from time to time I would update the blog as much as possible.
Please add your own comments or thoughts regarding this blog. It is better that you would post stimulated questions, therefore I could critically think about the questions and post it accordingly.
Learning is just the beginning, but there are always time and place for learning. Learning is a process....
Enjoy reading!!!!
Cheers from Jun Lu, Yen
